The tile is designed to work well individually while also having a strong tessellation. The pattern is inspired by art objects, ceramic knots and a series of wavy-handled pitchers Natalie Herrera designed in 2014. Installed in the artist's home in Upstate, New York.

In Advance of a Blackout is inspired by primitive wooden sconces, which are adorned modestly with beveled edges and carved inset motifs. This iteration, with a shield-like silhouette, pays homage to its roots with minimal decoration and subtle carved details. Ideal for evenings and blackouts.

Parallels, 2016. This collection of maquettes are inspired by the geometric forms from the urban landscape of both Medellin (MDE) and New York (NYC). The arrangement consist of 12 vessels that consolidate several themes similar and shared by two different cities.

Speckled Stoneware
Focusing on intuitive making with a consideration of the surroundings. Works were made with limited tools and found materials. Elements and parts were found scattered in the area, as well as some things possibly left by previous artists and the agricultural team.

The traditional mug handle is replaced with an ergonomic-three dimensional texture of shapes. Shapes are evenly placed to keep hands from heat when mug is filled. Originally they were hand built but are now slip cast for size consistency and a stackable fit.
